During the first phase the online broker BinckBank and the liquidity provider Optiver are connected to the platform of TOM.
Previous experiences with similar initiatives have shown that this type of project becomes more difficult to get off the
ground when the group of initiators expands. To ensure that TOM becomes operational as soon as possible, the decision was made to start
with a small group. However, TOM shall allow new participants access to its services in the not too distant future. At present there are talks
with other liquidity providers and banks about a rapid connection to TOM. In accordance with the provided licence by AFM, TOM must transform into a
Multilateral Trading Facility (MTF) within a period of two years. Our aim is to finish this transformation sooner.
The platform of TOM will begin processing the first securities orders in AEX and AMX stocks shortly. TOM is expected to start trading derivatives at a later stage as well.
